Eastern Music Ensemble at Cornell (CEME) was founded in 2009 by students passionate about sharing traditional Chinese and East Asian music with the Cornell community. What began as a small group of musicians has grown into a vibrant ensemble that performs classical and contemporary East Asian pieces using traditional instruments like the guzheng, erhu, pipa, and dizi. CEME has performed at Cornell events, local cultural festivals, and community celebrations. We continue to abide by our founding principle: Perform to Connect.
